. As we are coming close to the Math Superstar finish line for this year, p=
lease make sure that your students are current with the worksheets. You can=
also check your students’ progress at the Math Superstars’ dis=

Math Superstars is a math enrichme=
nt program that is in addition to the regular classroom curriculum and avai=
lable free to the students of LME. This program runs entirely by the PTA. T=
he worksheets are corrected (confidentially) by parent volunteers. The choi=
ce to participate is up to you, as the parent, and your student. In this program you will receive a worksheet each week via email that is =
listed in PTA registration. Please print the document and make it available=
for your student. Encourage your student to do as many problems as h=
e or she can. The more stars you see beside a problem, the higher the level=
of difficulty. The process of reading, understanding and approaching the p=
roblems is a valuable step in solving many types of problems. Try to let yo=
ur student do the problems independently, but it is fine to help by suggest=
ing strategies. We would encourage you to stay current with the=
current week’s worksheet. This helps the graders, who are the parent=
volunteers to grade same week/set of worksheets and not going back and for=
th on different set of worksheets. Also please don’t have a big backl=
og of worksheets by working on them regularly. However this should not prev=
ent your student from submitting worksheets from past weeks. If your studen=
t is running behind please submit them along with current week’s work=
