If you are new to Laurel Mountain and have questions about resources, programs or activities, please attend our New Families Orientation in the Cafeteria on Monday 8/22 (9-10) directly following Meet the Teacher.  Refreshments will be served and we would love to get to know you.

There is also a wealth of information on the LME website by clicking the Clubs and Services link on the left Toolbar.  We encourage you and your chidlren to get involved in the programs and events at our school.  That will make it a much more enriching experence.

How to Get Involved:

Register for the PTA - Sign up in the Fall during the Membership Drive

“Got 3” - Commit 3 hours either in your classroom, running a club group, or staffing a PTA event like Carnival or Pride Night

Classroom Helpers - Staff parties, coordinate resources, provide supplies, assemble materials

Club Groups - Most groups are volunteer-led and need leaders such as Girl Scouts / Cub Scouts, Destination Imagination, Ecology Club, or Marathon Kids

PTA Events - Volunteers are essential to Global Fest, Science Fair, Carnival, Pride Night, etc.

Please stay tuned for information on how to register for the PTA in the next week. When you sign up you'll have the opportunity opt in to receive PTA news, take home science kits, math superstars, and school directory. Check our website often so you can get the latest news as well as the calendar. By you signing up, you help us fund many classroom resources and several clubs, programs, and activities that all the students benefit from throughout the year. Through the website, you will also have the opportunity to sign up for other items such as school shirts and yearbooks.

During the year, we will have PTA meetings that are planned with fun activities for the whole family. These meetings give you a chance to let us know how PTA can make a difference at our school. Of course it is optional to attend, but the kids won’t want to miss the fun! Please contact our Welcoming Committee if you have any questions or need guidance.
