Dear LME Families,
We did it! We made it through a whirlwind week of incredible events. From showing our gratitude during Teacher Appreciation to seeing everyone’s creativity shine during the Storybook Character Parade, it was truly the best way to close out October. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent in lovely notes to our teachers and staff this week. Walking down the hallways has been such a joy—the decorated doors look absolutely alive with color and care! We have received numerous comments from staff members sharing how much they love them and how truly appreciated they feel. Thank you as well for the generous donations of drinks, snacks, and classroom wishlist items—your support makes a huge difference! We also want to extend a warm thank you to everyone who contributed to the Clothes Closet underwear and sock drive! As you begin going through seasonal clothing and pulling out items your kids have outgrown, please check out the details below on how you can continue to donate. As we move into November, we are kicking off the month with one of our biggest and most exciting fundraisers of the year! The Carnival Crew has been working tirelessly behind the scenes and cannot wait to welcome you all next Saturday. We hope to see every single one of you there for an unforgettable day! Finally, just a gentle reminder that Tuesday is Election Day! Please make sure to get out and vote. Thank you for everything you do to make our community so vibrant and supportive.

Spreading cheer one door at a time! On Monday, our Room Parents—with the help of sweet notes of gratitude from students—decorated classroom doors to kick off Fall Teacher Appreciation Week. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers, led by Jenn Sabins, we made sure every single staff member in the building was celebrated. It was a wonderful start to a special week! |
Waterloo Spirit Night Thank you to all the families who joined us on Monday evening for Spirit Night at Waterloo Ice House! The weather was perfect for enjoying dinner together and letting the kids burn off some energy on the playground. |
Dads Night Wednesday was a low key Dad Event. Met some new faces and caught up with old friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Carnival and the November Dad Night (11/16). Details will be in next week's newsletter! |
| Westwood Sock Drive Thank you all for making the Council of PTAs Annual Westwood vs McNeil Sock & Underwear Drive a HUGE SUCCESS! Team Westwood brought in a total of 2,285 new socks and underwear to restock the RRISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet! Although we did win the contest, it was a FUN way to bring awareness to the community's Clothes Closet and support their mission. Thank you for everything you did to make it a SUCCESS! Sko' Wood!! |

| Fall Campus Cleanup! Join us for an afternoon of cleaning up LME to get our campus ready before the big Carnival weekend! When: Sunday, November 1st | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Where: Meet at the N2N Studio (located behind the school, near the lower playground) What to Bring: Cordless garden tools, work gloves, hats, and a smile!
We will be doing light landscaping around the entrance, N2N building, bus circle, and reading garden and will do trash pickup throughout campus. Hope to see you there! |

| Election Day - THIS TUESDAY!!! Key Resources: - You can find your sample ballot and voting locations here - Information on how local, state, and federal elected officials make decisions about public education. Your vote matters! - Nonpartisan voter guide from the League of Women Voters.
As a PTA, we voted to support RRISD Prop A. Prop A is a Voter-Approved Tax Rate Election (VATRE). This is a local school funding election that asks voters to approve the district’s request to increase the maintenance and operations tax rate. Unlike a school bond election, a VATRE doesn’t create new debt. Instead, it fuels the district’s daily operations, and importantly this year it supports our educators through pay increases. | PTA Membership Update: Stronger Together! Thank you to everyone who has joined the LME PTA this year! We're so grateful for the support of our parents, teachers, staff, families, and community members. Every membership helps strengthen our school community and our collective voice in supporting all LME students. So what does your PTA membership support right here at LME? Your membership dues help fund school events, campus resources, staff appreciation, and educational programs that benefit our students. And remember, anyone can join the PTA! Parents, grandparents, extended family, alumni, and community members are all welcome. There's no requirement to volunteer or attend meetings. Simply becoming a member is a meaningful way to show your support. We're just 29 members away from reaching our goal of "A Voice for Every Child!" This would be a first for LME, representing one PTA member for every student enrolled at our school. It's a meaningful milestone that reflects our community's shared commitment to supporting our students and ensuring their voices are heard. And that commitment is more important than ever. | Rally Day 2027! While everyone is fired up about elections and driving real change, mark your calendars for Rally Day! Texas PTA Rally Day is coming to the Texas State Capitol on Monday, February 22, 2027! Official registration opens in January, but the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs needs your help now to estimate headcount, arrange bus transportation for students and chaperones, and size t-shirt orders. How You Can Help (Action Needed by Nov. 15): Please fill out the quick interest survey! Even if you aren't sure you can attend in person, your input helps RRISD Council of PTAs plan transportation, order group t-shirts, and coordinate constituent letters for our state representatives.
