Dear LME Families, Wow, what a wonderful week! We had such a beautiful day on Saturday for our Annual Carnival. I loved seeing our community gather to celebrate, laugh, and help raise funds for the school we all love so dearly. Many people have asked me why our family chose Laurel Mountain, and while there are many reasons, my top reason will always be this community. Having been a part of several school communities over the years, I can truly say LME is top tier. I want to personally thank each and every one of you who helped make Carnival such a success—from purchasing wristbands to volunteering your time, it truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for your support! Looking ahead, I am very excited about a new project we are taking on this week. Friday is World Kindness Day, and to celebrate, we are collecting thank-you cards for our amazing faculty and staff to spread kindness and joy. We will also be hosting a card-making station during Friday's Stay & Play—be sure to check out the details later in the newsletter! Campus Cleanup A huge thank you to the parents, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts who joined us on Sunday to clean up our campus before Carnival! Thanks to your hard work, we removed trash, cleared weeds, and freshened up the flower beds. We were also able to reunite many lost clothing items and water bottles with their owners. We truly appreciate your time and help in making our school look great! |

| Congratulations to Our Yearbook Cover Winner! We tried something new with our yearbook process this year! In past years, the staff selected the final cover design. This year, after the staff selected the finalists in Round 2, we opened the final vote up to the entire student body—and they made their voices heard! Please join us in congratulating Aanshi Tiwari from Mr. Hanlon’s 5th-grade class for winning this year’s cover design vote! | Spread Kindness with Our World Kindness Day Stay & Play! 💛💌
Join us after school on Friday, November 13th for a fun Stay & Play! We will be creating cards for our wonderful school staff to spread kindness and cheer as we head into the holiday season. Can't make the Stay & Play? You can still participate! | Rally Day 2027! While everyone is fired up about elections and driving real change, mark your calendars for Rally Day! Texas PTA Rally Day is coming to the Texas State Capitol on Monday, February 22, 2027! Official registration opens in January, but the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs needs your help now to estimate headcount, arrange bus transportation for students and chaperones, and size t-shirt orders. How You Can Help (Action Needed by Nov. 15): Please fill out the quick interest survey! Even if you aren't sure you can attend in person, your input helps RRISD Council of PTAs plan transportation, order group t-shirts, and coordinate constituent letters for our state representatives. | PTA Membership Update: Community In Action Thank you for coming out and supporting our school this weekend! As one of our largest fundraisers, Carnival helps provide resources directly to LME while bringing our community together. PTA volunteers spend months planning, organizing, and coordinating Carnival. That work culminates in more than 100 community members giving their time to help run the event. LME staff contribute, from planning, equipment, and communications to distributing wristbands, volunteering, signing up for Soak the Staff, and staying late to keep our campus clean. Carnival is a reflection of what our school community can accomplish together. And our community shows up for our school. If you attended Carnival, you supported LME. If you volunteered, you supported LME. If you're a PTA member, you supported LME. Not yet a PTA member but enjoy our events? Come join!
