Fun Fall Plans! This fall is shaping up to be so fun! We have a fantastic lineup of community events coming up, including Fitnic, Bike Walk Roll to School, our first General PTA Meeting, a Special PTA Meeting, Spirit Nights, and our annual Carnival.
This year we are kicking off a brand-new event called Connections! Connections are grade-level meetups designed to help our school community bond. We’ve handled the planning and picked the date, time, and place—we just need you and your family! It’s a casual, fun way to hang out and get to know the other families in your child's grade level a little better. For more information - see the flyer below.
Every single one of these events takes a lot of hands to pull off, and we can’t do it without our incredible volunteers. If you can lend a hand for one hour or two, we would love your support! If you are interested in helping out: Thank you for helping us make this a memorable season for our students and school!

LME Special General Meeting A special meeting for the Laurel Mountain Elementary PTA was called to discuss the upcoming 2026–2027 Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). We will share information regarding the upcoming Round Rock ISD VATRE / Proposition A and hold a vote on whether Laurel Mountain PTA supports it. A representative from the school district will give a presentation on the upcoming VATRE election. They will explain what the VATRE covers, how it will impact our schools, and answer your questions. Following the presentation, our PTA membership will hold a vote. This vote fulfills a call from the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs regarding the following motion: "Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs moves to support the 2026–2027 VATRE referendum for Round Rock ISD in its entirety."
Our local vote will officially instruct Laurel Mountain PTA's delegate on how to vote at the Council Delegate Meeting on September 23rd.

What are PTA Clubs? Led by our amazing LME teachers and parent volunteers, these afterschool clubs give students a chance to explore new passions right here on campus. From Chess Club and Running Club to Sculpture and Choir, we offer a wide variety of fun, hands-on activities for every interest. Here is a sneak peak at the list of clubs for Fall 2026! For the very first time, we're joining the fun, and we hope to make this the start of an epic new LME tradition. Join our superhero alliance for Westwood Homecoming Week and show off our LME and future Warrior pride! Mission BriefingFloat Headquarters (Decorating Day): Monday, Sept. 21 | 3:00–5:00 PM (Location TBD) Homecoming Parade (5th Graders): Wednesday, Sept. 23 Priority Clearance: 5th-grade LME PTA Student Members get first dibs on limited float spots! Yearbooks are $30 + service fee and will be ordered directly through the Jostens website this year. We’re just 59 memberships away from reaching 85%, and we’re celebrating with three prizes for three winners! Here is what you need to know: Parents Stay & Connect: This is a family event, not a drop-off—come hang out and mingle! Dedicated Playgrounds: Each grade level will have its own assigned playground location. Smart Scheduling: To keep temperatures comfortable, fall events meet in the morning and spring events meet in the afternoon. Day Rotation: Weekend days swap between semesters—if your grade meets on a Saturday in the fall, you'll meet on a Sunday in the spring! Date & Time: Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 AM Meeting Location: Barrington Park (we will ride as a group to the school) What to Bring: Bike and helmet Parent Participation: Parents are encouraged to ride alongside their kids. Please note that a parent is required to ride next to any child who is not yet a strong rider.
